The NBA Draft came and went without a single HBCU player being selected.
Kimberly Clark will soon launch the HBCU Basketball Association, a professional league that aims to provide former HBCU students with an opportunity to continue their careers in their own space.
The league is slated to begin in February 2023 with a draft the week before the Super Bowl. The inaugural season will run from April through June with the playoffs concluding in a championship round in Miami.
Despite having 23 programs spread across four Division I NCAA conferences, there were no HBCU players selected in the NBA Draft for the 10th year in a row.
